My grandma passed away... =(

What do you say to someone who has lost their will to live?

Well this was what had happend to my grandma 5-6 years ago when my grandfather died. After my grandfather passed away, my grandmother became an emotional wreck. She had wanted to die before him too so as to not be the one in depression. So ya she passed away on Friday morning the 4th of June, peacefully never waking up. My mom phoned me up telling me and what had happen and that we were to go to her wake on Sat. So we woke up early at 4am in the morning and started driving for 10hours all the way to Penang.

We reached the funeral area with some of my relatives around the tables. After the formalities were done, me and my relatives sat doown to talk about my grandmother.

My grandma after my grandfather passed away became very emotional. She always said that she wanted to die and join him. For days on end she refused to eat or even get out of her bed. She did once in awhile walk around especially when we visited her =3. But you could always see her getting weaker, pale and skinnier as the years went by. This was what my relatives related to me a few days before her death. For the past few weeks my grandma's back had become very sore and bruised due to her not moving in bed. The maid attending to her actually did move her on her sides once in awhile but she would always complain of it being pain. She said to just let her die. The maid even got scratched by her for trying to move her sideways. When she helped my grandmother to brush her teeth, she bit the maid's finger. The maid had been actually telling my aunty that at night, my grandma would talk nonsense and scratch the air. Of course my aunty just brushed it off saying that the maid was speaking nonsense when she told her what she had observed. Her last two days, my grandma requested nothing but ice cream for her meals, perhaps that what what she wanted for her last meal. Kinda sad hur?

Well on sunday, after closing the funeral, the male side of the family carried the coffin onto the herse to be brought to the crematorium(SP.?) and there we bid a final farewell to my grandmother =3 At last she could finally join my grandfather in heaven which she had so wanted over this 5-6 years.
